10 Best Lumoa Alternatives in 2026 (After the Netigate Merger)

Bram De VosBram De Vos 13 min read

Lumoa no longer exists as a standalone product. The Finnish AI feedback-analysis platform was acquired by Netigate in March 2024, its website has been folded into the acquirer's, and the technology now lives on as the Insights layer inside Netigate Group. For the teams that chose Lumoa precisely because it was a light, AI-first analysis tool, that changes the question from "which tool did we buy?" to "do we follow the merger or choose our own next step?" This guide covers what changed, who is well served by staying, and ten alternatives for everyone else.

The merger itself was a logical one, announced by Netigate in March 2024: Stockholm-based Netigate, an established European survey and feedback vendor, bought Lumoa to add AI-powered analysis, creating a combined business with more than 1,500 customers and offices across Northern and Central Europe. Nothing about it was a shutdown. But acquisitions move products: the roadmap now serves the combined platform's priorities, pricing and packaging follow the acquirer's model, and the standalone tool you evaluated in 2023 is not the thing being sold in 2026.

What the merger means for Lumoa users

  • The product you bought is now a module. Lumoa's analysis engine became Netigate's Insights capability. If you wanted a full survey-plus-analysis suite, that is an upgrade. If you specifically wanted a lean analysis layer on top of your existing stack, you now own a corner of a bigger platform.
  • Contracts and packaging migrate. Renewals arrive on the acquirer's paper, with the acquirer's bundle logic. This is the natural moment to compare, because you are effectively being sold a new product either way.
  • The integration story changes. Lumoa's appeal was ingesting feedback from wherever you already collected it. Check whether the combined platform still treats external sources as first-class citizens or increasingly assumes its own surveys are the input.
  • Your data is portable. Analysis platforms read your feedback; the feedback itself lives in your sources. Migration here is lighter than a survey-platform move: reconnect sources, rebuild the taxonomy, re-run history.

Teams that wanted one European vendor for surveys and analysis together, and never loved maintaining a separate collection stack, should simply stay. The merger built that product for them. Everyone else, read on.

How to choose a replacement

  1. AI analysis quality, tested on your own data. Run your own verbatims through every shortlisted tool. Topic quality and sentiment per topic on your feedback, in your languages, is the entire product; a demo on the vendor's sample data proves nothing.
  2. Native multilingual reading. Lumoa was built in the Nordics for multilingual feedback. Insist on analysis in the original language, not translate-then-analyse, which flattens tone; the difference shows exactly in the sentiment layer.
  3. From insight to priority. Topics are the start; ranking them by impact on your metric is what makes the list actionable. Ask how the platform connects themes to score movement.
  4. From priority to action. Alerts, owners and close-the-loop workflows decide whether the analysis changes anything.
  5. Collection: bring your own or buy it built in. Decide first whether you want analysis-only on existing sources, or collection and analysis in one platform. It splits this list in half.

1. Hello Customer

Best for: teams that chose Lumoa for the AI analysis and want that idea, kept independent and taken further.

Lumoa's original pitch was ours too: collecting feedback is the easy half, and reading it is where the value sits. We have stayed independent and European, and we build the whole platform around that reading.

Analysis first. Our AI engine ISAAC classifies feedback by topic, with sentiment per topic, natively in more than 30 languages rather than through translation. Where the old Lumoa gave you themes and trends, ISAAC adds the layer that turns themes into decisions: impact analysis that ranks topics by how strongly they track your NPS or CSAT, so the loudest theme stops automatically winning the meeting.

Ask, in plain language. Ask ISAAC answers questions like "what drove detractors in Germany last quarter?" conversationally, with the verbatims behind every answer, one click away. Lumoa users recognise the philosophy: insight for everyone, not dashboards for specialists.

Collection built in, sources welcome. Surveys per touchpoint when you want them, and ingestion of reviews, support conversations and other existing sources when you already have collection running. You are not forced to re-platform your asking to upgrade your reading.

Action wired in. Detractor alerts to named owners, close-the-loop workflows, and benchmarks against competitors. Some of our customers that close the loop on both customer and management levels report minimum 2.3% annual churn decrease and 11% revenue increase.

The practical stuff. EU-hosted, GDPR-clean, ISO 27001-certified, onboarding in days, volume-based pricing rather than per-seat.

Limitation: we are not a general market-research suite; if your main need is panel research and questionnaires for R&D, the research-grade platforms below fit better.

Pricing: volume-based; book a demo with a sample of your own verbatims and judge the analysis on your data, not ours.

2. Chattermill

Best for: teams with plenty of existing feedback sources and no need for collection.

Chattermill is the closest philosophical successor to standalone Lumoa: an AI layer that unifies feedback you already hold, from surveys to support tickets to reviews and app stores, into one analysed lake. The London-based platform has bet everything on analysis quality, and it shows in the depth of the theming.

It does not collect: no surveys, no triggers, no asking. That purity is the point and the constraint; you keep maintaining a collection stack beside it, and loop-closing workflows are lighter than on full VoC platforms.

Pricing: quote-based.

3. Thematic

Best for: teams that want AI theming plus a human-in-the-loop analytical culture.

Thematic, founded in New Zealand, discovers themes in feedback rather than forcing it into preset categories, and layers a genuinely thoughtful analysis workflow on top: theme editing, comparisons and analyst-friendly tooling. Organisations with a research bent tend to love it.

Like Chattermill it is analysis-only, and the company is smaller than most on this list, which cuts both ways: close attention now, more concentration risk over a decade. That is the same risk that brought you to this page.

Pricing: quote-based.

4. Medallia

Best for: large enterprises that want capture, analysis and operational routing in one platform.

Medallia does at enterprise scale what Lumoa did lightly: text analytics across surveys, calls, digital and social, wired into frontline workflows and governance. If the merger has your organisation thinking bigger rather than leaner, this is one of the two obvious destinations. Its own ownership is in motion: on 17 June 2026 Medallia announced a recapitalisation agreement that moves control from Thoma Bravo to an investor group led by Blackstone, Apollo and FS KKR.

The implementation and price tag are enterprise-grade, and the analysis power is unlocked by configuration, not out of the box. Small teams that liked Lumoa's lightness will not find it here.

Pricing: enterprise quote.

5. Qualtrics XM

Best for: enterprises consolidating research and CX onto one platform.

Qualtrics pairs the deepest survey research tooling on the market with text analysis and dashboards that satisfy enterprise programme offices. For organisations where feedback analysis is one strand of a broader research practice, consolidation here is defensible. Check the family tree before you treat this as a hedge, though: Qualtrics completed its acquisition of Press Ganey Forsta on 18 May 2026, and Press Ganey Forsta had acquired InMoment on 14 May 2025, so entries 6 and 9 on this list are the same company as this one.

Text analytics live partly in add-on tiers, so quote carefully, and the same staffing expectations apply as with Medallia. This is a programme, not a tool.

Pricing: enterprise quote.

6. InMoment

Best for: mid-enterprise teams combining CX analysis with reputation and location feedback.

InMoment blends surveys, reviews and text analytics a step below the tier-one suites, and its analysis heritage is real. For multi-location brands juggling review sites alongside surveys, the combination is convenient and the price more approachable than the giants. One thing to know before you shortlist it: Press Ganey Forsta acquired InMoment on 14 May 2025, and Qualtrics completed its acquisition of Press Ganey Forsta on 18 May 2026, so InMoment now sits inside the same company as entries 5 and 9.

Check exactly which analytics package you are quoted; capability varies significantly between tiers, and the light packages are not the product the demo showed.

Pricing: quote-based.

7. zenloop

Best for: e-commerce teams whose analysis needs start and end with NPS.

zenloop, Berlin-built and part of saas.group since 2023, automates NPS loops with trigger-based sends, detractor routing and close-the-loop playbooks. Its analysis reads NPS verbatims per driver, which for a focused e-commerce programme may be all the analysis you need.

It is not a Lumoa-class text platform: multi-source ingestion and deep multilingual theming are not the ambition. Right-sized for one metric done well.

Pricing: tiered.

8. Questback

Best for: European organisations that want employee and customer feedback under one governed roof.

Questback has run feedback programmes for European enterprises since 2000, from Oslo: EU hosting, mature governance, and one platform covering both EX and CX surveys. Nordic roots Lumoa customers will find culturally familiar, with one caveat on stability: Questback Group was delisted from Euronext Growth Oslo in February 2024.

The analysis is serviceable rather than AI-native; it captures what you ask, and the deep reading of unsolicited text is not its territory. Pair it with an analysis layer if verbatims are your main course.

Pricing: quote-based.

9. Forsta

Best for: research-grade programmes with analyst teams.

Forsta, the Confirmit and FocusVision merger that Press Ganey bought in 2022 and Qualtrics acquired in May 2026, serves organisations where feedback is a research discipline: complex studies, sophisticated analysis tooling and healthcare-grade rigour. Nordic roots again, at a very different scale from Lumoa's. Weigh the ownership carefully: Forsta now sits inside Qualtrics, alongside entries 5 and 6 on this list.

It expects analysts. The self-serve, insight-for-everyone philosophy that made Lumoa likeable is not the design goal here.

Pricing: enterprise quote.

10. CustomerGauge

Best for: B2B companies reading feedback account by account.

CustomerGauge ties NPS and feedback to accounts and revenue, which reframes the question from "what themes exist?" to "which accounts are at risk and why?" For B2B Lumoa users who were forcing account questions onto a theme tool, this is the purpose-built version.

Consumer brands and multi-source text analysis are not the point. Weigh the implementation effort against the revenue-linkage payoff.

Pricing: quote-based.

The migration checklist

Analysis-platform migrations are lighter than survey moves, run in this order:

  1. Inventory your sources. Every feed Lumoa read: surveys, tickets, reviews, chats. Portability lives in the sources, not the platform.
  2. Export your taxonomy and historical results for reference; your new platform will rebuild themes, and you want to compare its reading against the old one.
  3. Trial on your own verbatims. Same sample, every shortlisted vendor, judged on topic quality in your languages.
  4. Re-run history. A good platform backfills months of feedback so trends continue from day one.
  5. Rewire the outputs: alerts, owners, and the meeting where the insights land. Analysis nobody routes is decoration.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to Lumoa?

Lumoa was acquired by Netigate, the Stockholm-based feedback vendor, in March 2024. The standalone product and website were folded in, and the technology continues as the Insights capability within Netigate Group.

Is Lumoa shutting down?

No. This is a merger, not a retirement: the technology lives on inside the combined platform. The standalone product you may have evaluated, however, is no longer sold on its own.

Who should stay after the merger?

Teams that wanted surveys and analysis from one European vendor are arguably better served now than before. Teams that specifically valued a lean, independent analysis layer on top of their own stack are the ones with a real decision to make.

What is the closest alternative to the original Lumoa?

Chattermill and Thematic for pure analysis-on-your-sources; Hello Customer if you want the same analysis-first philosophy with collection, impact ranking and closed-loop action built in. Our comparison of AI feedback analysis software goes deeper on that field.

How hard is it to migrate from Lumoa?

Easier than most platform moves. Your feedback lives in your sources; the work is reconnecting them, rebuilding the taxonomy and backfilling history, typically weeks rather than months.

Choose your philosophy, then your platform

The merger forces a useful question: was Lumoa your analysis layer or your feedback platform? Follow the merger if you wanted the platform. If you wanted the reading, pick the successor that reads best on your own data, in your own languages, and ranks what it finds by impact. That test takes one afternoon and a CSV of verbatims; book a demo and bring yours.

Curious what your own feedback would say?

Surveys, reviews, support tickets and calls in one place, with the open text classified and ranked by impact.
