CustomerGauge is one of the clearest-positioned products in the feedback market, and that deserves saying before any list of alternatives. Founded in 2007 by Adam Dorrell and Camilla Scholten with Amsterdam roots, it invented its own category, Account Experience, and has spent nearly two decades perfecting one thing: account-level NPS for B2B companies, with every score tied to the revenue behind it. In September 2025 it declared an AI-first strategy, and in February 2026 it added an AI Interview Bot that runs conversational interviews at scale. Brands like Coca-Cola HBC, DHL and Heineken use it to see which accounts are safe, at risk or ready to grow. If that is exactly your problem, the honest advice is to shortlist CustomerGauge. Most people searching for alternatives, though, are hitting one of three walls: their programme needs more than NPS, their business is not purely account-based B2B, or they need deeper analysis of what customers actually write than a revenue-weighted score can give.
The B2B stakes keep rising either way. Forrester's 2026 buyer research found that the typical business buying decision now involves 13 internal stakeholders and 9 external influencers, which means the account you think you understand contains twenty-two opinions you have probably never surveyed. Relationship health measured through one champion is a coin toss dressed as a metric.
Trust in what those stakeholders read is wobbling too. Forrester's 2026 B2B predictions report that 19% of buyers using genAI tools feel less confident in their purchasing decisions because of inaccurate or unreliable information. When buying committees grow and confidence falls, the vendors who win renewals are the ones who hear every stakeholder and fix what they name, not the ones with the tidiest dashboard.
So the question is what your programme actually needs to hear: an account-weighted score tied to revenue, or every customer voice, at every touchpoint, with the why read automatically? Here are the ten alternatives worth your shortlist in 2026.
What to look for in a CustomerGauge alternative
CustomerGauge set a high bar for revenue discipline. Hold every alternative to that bar, then add the dimensions where you have outgrown it.
- Metric breadth beyond NPS. Account NPS is one lens. Mature programmes run NPS, CSAT and CES per touchpoint: effort after onboarding, satisfaction after a support case, loyalty at relationship level. Check the platform treats all three as first-class citizens rather than bolt-ons to an NPS core.
- Analysis quality on open text. Revenue tells you which account is at risk; verbatims tell you why. Expect classification of every open answer by topic with sentiment per topic, in the original language. In tickets and survey comments, language hardens long before anyone mentions the renewal, and an engine should catch that shift for you.
- A line from feedback to outcomes. Keep CustomerGauge's instinct of tying feedback to money, but demand it works both ways: impact ranking that shows which topics drive your score and your churn, so the fix list is ordered by consequence, not by loudness.
- Closing the loop at two levels. Following up with an unhappy stakeholder is necessary, not sufficient. The platform should also surface the structural themes behind at-risk accounts and route them to owners, so the same complaint stops appearing in next quarter's QBRs.
- Access for the whole organisation. Account health locked inside customer success changes nothing in the product, logistics or billing teams that caused it. Favour pricing where anyone can see the feedback for their own area without a licence discussion. CustomerGauge's unlimited-users stance is the right instinct; keep it.

1. Hello Customer
Best for: teams that want every metric, every touchpoint and the why read automatically, in every language.
We built Hello Customer on a different conviction than CustomerGauge: before you weight feedback by revenue, you have to actually understand it. Our platform is a voice of the customer programme in one piece: collection per touchpoint, AI analysis of every open answer, impact ranking and closed loops, used by European organisations such as Liantis and Helan across B2B and B2C relationships.
ISAAC reads what accounts actually say. Our text analytics engine ISAAC classifies every open answer by topic with a sentiment score per topic, natively in dozens of languages with no translate-first step. That matters in B2B more than most vendors admit: the language in support tickets and survey comments hardens months before anyone says "renewal" in a meeting. Track sentiment per topic per account segment and you see relationships cooling while there is still time to act, instead of discovering it in the churn report.
Every metric, every touchpoint. NPS, CSAT and CES run as first-class programmes per touchpoint, from onboarding to support case to invoice, and we ingest the feedback you already receive through reviews and support conversations. If your business mixes B2B contracts with B2C volume, one platform covers both sides instead of forcing an account-only lens onto consumer feedback.
Impact ranking on retention. Our key driver analysis ranks topics by their measured effect on your scores, so you fix the invoicing process that quietly erodes twenty accounts before the feature request one loud champion keeps repeating. Ask ISAAC answers plain-language questions with the verbatims behind every answer, so a CS lead can ask what changed in a segment without waiting for an analyst.
Close the loop at both levels. Close-the-loop workflows alert named owners the moment a detractor lands, and surface the structural themes behind them for management follow-up. Some of our customers that close the loop on both customer and management levels report minimum 2.3% annual churn decrease and 11% revenue increase.
European by design. EU-hosted, GDPR compliant and ISO 27001 certified, with onboarding in days. CX benchmarking puts your scores in context from the first month.
Limitation: we are a lightweight CXM and feedback management platform with best-in-class text analytics, not a giant XM suite nor a market research and panel tool. And we will be straight: if your entire programme is revenue-weighted account NPS for a sales-led B2B organisation, CustomerGauge's purpose-built account machinery is the benchmark to beat.
Pricing: volume-based, never per seat, so the whole organisation works with customer feedback. Book a demo for a quote on your volumes.
2. AskNicely
Best for: service businesses that want frontline teams coached on customer feedback.
AskNicely, founded in New Zealand in 2014 with a strong US presence, connects NPS and CSAT responses to the person who delivered the experience, then turns results into coaching, recognition and leaderboards on the frontline worker's phone. For home services, healthcare providers and franchises, that loop between customer feedback and employee behaviour is the whole product, and it is genuinely well executed.
It solves a different problem than CustomerGauge: people performance rather than account revenue. There is no account hierarchy or revenue weighting, text analytics are functional tagging rather than deep mining, and B2B teams managing complex multi-stakeholder relationships will find the model too person-centred for renewal work.
Pricing: published tiers on contact volume from about 299 dollars a month, quote above that; no free trial.
3. zenloop
Best for: e-commerce and retail brands running automated NPS retention loops.
Berlin-based zenloop, part of saas.group since 2023, is what CustomerGauge is for accounts, but for consumer transactions: survey at the decisive moment, tag the comment, trigger the win-back flow, request the review. Its integration list reads like an e-commerce stack, Shopify, Shopware, Magento, and German engineering keeps EU data handling native. For B2C brands that admired CustomerGauge's loop discipline but have no accounts to roll feedback into, zenloop is the natural mirror image.
The reverse also holds: there is no account view at all, text analytics are clustering rather than deep analysis, and the platform's centre of gravity remains NPS for DACH consumer brands.
Pricing: Start, Grow and Lead plans scoped on included responses, unlimited users, quote-based.
4. Qualtrics XM
Best for: global enterprises standardising every experience programme on one suite.
Qualtrics is the biggest step up in scope from CustomerGauge: customer, employee, product and brand experience in one suite, with research panels and a partner ecosystem no specialist can match. It grew again in 2026, closing its 6.75 billion dollar acquisition of Press Ganey Forsta on 18 May 2026, which brought InMoment, Forsta and Press Ganey into the group. Qualtrics changed CEO in February 2026 (Jason Maynard) and ran two rounds of layoffs, in August and September 2026, while integrating those platforms. B2B account dashboards are configurable, and enterprises with analyst teams can build almost anything on it.
Build is the operative word. Where CustomerGauge gives a CS team account NPS out of the box, Qualtrics gives an XM team the parts. Implementations run through certified partners, administration is a real job, and mid-market budgets feel the weight quickly.
Pricing: quote-based, enterprise-level, scoped per module and volume.
5. Medallia
Best for: very large organisations capturing feedback signals across every channel.
Medallia remains one of the giants of enterprise CX, strongest where volumes are massive: telecoms, banking, hospitality, large retail. It captures surveys, app behaviour, call recordings and social signals, its text and speech analytics are proven at scale, and it does offer B2B account-level programmes for enterprises that need them alongside B2C reach that CustomerGauge does not attempt.
One ownership note for 2026, stated calmly: Medallia has had new owners since 4 August 2026, a lender group led by Blackstone, Apollo and FS KKR that took over from Thoma Bravo under a recapitalisation agreed in June, with 150 million dollars of new capital. A stabilising step rather than a crisis, but roadmap and support continuity are fair questions at renewal time. Mid-market B2B teams will find most of its machinery idle.
Pricing: quote-based, enterprise contracts.
6. Survicate
Best for: lean teams that want multichannel surveys running today at a published price.
Warsaw-based Survicate is the pragmatic pick. Start a trial, connect HubSpot, Intercom or your product, and have email, website and in-app surveys live the same afternoon across NPS, CSAT, CES and custom studies. It publishes its pricing, still rare in this category, from 114 dollars a month billed annually on the Growth plan, with a 10-day trial and no free plan, a fraction of CustomerGauge's platform-fee entry point.
The trade-off is depth. There is no account hierarchy or revenue linkage, AI summaries and basic categorisation stand in for real text analytics, and orchestrated close-the-loop workflows are beyond its brief. It is a strong collection layer for product and marketing teams, not an account experience programme.
Pricing: published tiers from 114 dollars a month billed annually (Growth), Pro from 349 and Enterprise from 569 dollars a month, no free plan.
7. Questback
Best for: organisations that want one European vendor for employee and customer feedback.
Questback, founded in Oslo in 2000 and serving more than 1,600 customers, has spent 25 years running employee engagement, 360 feedback and customer surveys for Nordic enterprises and public bodies. If your roadmap pairs customer feedback with serious employee experience work, its engagement tooling is among the most mature in Europe, and its data residency posture keeps EU procurement comfortable. One ownership note: Questback Group left Euronext Growth Oslo in February 2024 and the operating company has been majority-owned by its lender since late 2023, a fair question at renewal rather than a reason to walk away.
It is a survey platform rather than an account experience system: no revenue-weighted account rollups, and open-text analysis that is serviceable rather than central. Choose it for the EX-plus-CX combination under one European roof, not for CS-driven renewal management.
Pricing: quote-based, typically annual contracts scoped on modules and volumes.
8. Thematic
Best for: insight teams that want to know why scores move, in real depth.
Thematic, founded in New Zealand, is a specialist text analytics platform built around AI theme discovery. Instead of forcing feedback into a fixed taxonomy, it finds the themes actually present in your data, lets analysts refine them, and quantifies how each theme affects your metric. Feed it account dimensions and it will slice themes by segment, size or region, with every answer traceable back to real customer quotes. Its newer layer adds a Scoring Agent that generates predicted NPS, churn propensity and effort scores from the text itself, and a Revenue at Risk ranking.
It is an analysis layer, not a feedback suite: collection, account hierarchies, alerting and CS workflows are not its focus, so most customers pair it with existing survey and support tooling. European buyers should also ask about hosting and support time zones, since its base sits outside the EU.
Pricing: published from 25,000 dollars a year for the Foundation plan (up to 25,000 comments), Enterprise on quote.
9. Chattermill
Best for: unifying surveys, support tickets and reviews into one analysis.
London-based Chattermill sits on top of the feedback sources you already run: surveys, app reviews, support tickets, chat logs, social mentions. Its AI stitches them into one view of customer sentiment with theme detection and trend analysis that digital-first brands rate highly. For a B2B team whose real problem is that account signals live in six disconnected tools, Chattermill solves precisely that, and ticket language is often where account risk shows first. It charges no per-user fee, is built for volumes of 5,000 feedback items a month and up, and opened Lyra Agent, an AI analyst agent, for early access in September 2026.
It is analytics-first rather than a full programme platform: survey collection is basic, there is no revenue-weighted account NPS, and close-the-loop workflows depend on integrations. Teams wanting one platform to collect, analyse and act will need to assemble parts around it.
Pricing: volume-based and quoted, aimed at mid-market and enterprise digital brands.
10. InMoment (Press Ganey Forsta)
Best for: enterprises blending surveys with reviews and tickets, inside the Qualtrics group.
InMoment's XI Platform treats the survey as one input among many: online reviews, call transcripts and support conversations feed a shared analytics layer, with text analytics among the stronger in the market thanks to the Lexalytics acquisition. Enterprise B2B programmes are supported, and its strategic services arm can guide programme design for organisations that want counsel with their software. Gartner no longer evaluates InMoment separately: it was dropped from the 2026 Magic Quadrant after the merger, with Press Ganey Forsta rated as a Leader.
The essential 2026 disclosure: InMoment merged with Press Ganey Forsta in May 2025, and the combined group was acquired by Qualtrics in a deal that closed on 18 May 2026, so InMoment, Forsta and Press Ganey are now all part of the Qualtrics group. Evaluate it as part of that family, with the integration questions that implies, not as an independent alternative.
Pricing: custom contracts, typically enterprise-level.
How to choose
Start from the wall you hit with CustomerGauge, or the wall you suspect you would hit.
If it is "we measure account NPS but never really know why accounts cool off", that is the case we built Hello Customer for: ISAAC reads every verbatim per topic and sentiment, account-segment trends show relationships hardening before the renewal call, and impact ranking orders the fix list by consequence. If it is "our business is B2C, or half B2C", zenloop covers consumer loops and Medallia covers enterprise volume. If it is "we need employee feedback in the same contract", Questback is the European answer. If it is "we are standardising the whole enterprise on one suite", that is a Qualtrics conversation, with InMoment now inside the same group. If it is "our insight team needs deeper mining than any programme tool offers", Thematic and Chattermill are the analysis specialists. And if it is simply "we need surveys live this week at a visible price", Survicate answers it, with AskNicely as the pick when frontline coaching is the real goal.
Then apply four practical filters. Company size: enterprise suites reward big programmes and punish small teams with complexity. Pricing model: CustomerGauge's flat fee with unlimited users set a good precedent, so be suspicious of per-seat licences that ration access to the customer's voice; our volume-based model keeps the same open-access instinct. Time to first insight: account experience deployments are projects, so ask every vendor for the number in days, in writing. Data residency: CustomerGauge achieved SOC 2 Type 2 in October 2024, a real credential, and if you operate in Europe you should hold every alternative to at least EU hosting and GDPR clarity, and ask where the text analysis itself runs.
Whichever way you lean, run the same test: book a demo, bring a few hundred verbatims from your own accounts, and watch what each platform tells you about relationships you already know. The tool that surprises you correctly is the tool to buy.
Frequently asked questions
Is CustomerGauge a good platform?
For its stated job, yes, genuinely. Account-level NPS with revenue linkage for B2B companies is a real discipline, CustomerGauge invented much of it, and its flat-fee, unlimited-users model is buyer-friendly. Teams look for alternatives when their needs widen beyond that job: more metrics, B2C reach, deeper text analytics or broader journey coverage.
Does CustomerGauge work for B2C companies?
It is not built for that. The platform's core concepts, account hierarchies, stakeholder rollups, revenue-weighted NPS, assume a B2B world of named accounts and contracts. Consumer brands with high-volume anonymous transactions get little from that machinery and are better served by platforms built for touchpoint volume, which is the ground Hello Customer, zenloop and Medallia cover in their different weight classes.
How much does CustomerGauge cost?
CustomerGauge prices as a flat annual platform fee with unlimited surveys, users and integrations, quoted rather than published in full, with a publicised entry point around 24,000 dollars a year. That model rewards heavy usage and penalises nobody for adding colleagues, which we think is the right instinct; our own pricing is volume-based with unlimited users for the same reason.
What is the best CustomerGauge alternative for text analytics?
Shortlist the analysis-first platforms: Hello Customer, Thematic and Chattermill. Thematic and Chattermill are analysis layers that assume you collect feedback elsewhere, while Hello Customer combines ISAAC's per-topic sentiment analysis, native in dozens of languages, with collection, impact ranking and close-the-loop workflows in one platform. We compare our platform with CustomerGauge head to head in Hello Customer vs CustomerGauge.
Can I measure account health without revenue-weighted NPS?
Yes, and the leading indicator is usually language, not scores. Sentiment per topic, tracked per account segment over time, shows relationships cooling months before scores drop or renewals stall: tickets get terser, "disappointed" replaces "annoyed", new stakeholders stop responding. A text analytics engine that reads every interaction natively gives you that early warning; revenue weighting then tells you which cooling account to visit first.
